HORIZON YORAM AMOYAL, ART SHOW Where the light begin, where vibrations turns into sound , movement and colors, where a feeling of contentment and hope folds in you - horizon. There is excitement to be in high places, see the open sky, remember places that we have been and dream about places that we will be. In this new body of work -horizon- i am sending the massage that nature is our home, we have to take care of the nature the same way we are taking care of our body, mind and soul. We are one. Some people live in separation from the nature , there is disconnection between the inside and the outside. I am trying to connect the inside of us (the soul) to the outside (the nature). When you in the nature you able to experience range of emotions that awaking you to help to others, to understand the environment, to talk about it and not to be afraid from it. In my work i am painting layers, the layers of paint are a way to show that we are also part of the layers, part of the layers of nature. When you are in high places there is a white line that excited me, all the layers araises from this line, the layers getting stronger and the colors becoming to what they are. This is when the sky touching the white line. if we are getting closer we are able to see the layers, everything have layers. We can connect to nature through the layers. It is a work of a year long, a year of creating expressions with mixes of paints: acrylic, medium, varnish and ink on wooden frames that i am building, using recycled wood. My part is to direct the paint by moving the wooden canvas in the direction i want without using brushes or tools. After the layer of paint is drying i am adding more layers of paint. Pouring, directing, drying, layering. And then silence. The same silence you reach when you are in high places. When you are walking into the horizon. Yoram Amoyal , Atlanta 2008.
